NOTICE OF RACE
SALTWATER SERIES
ROUND THE BUOYS SHORT COURSE RACING
DATE: Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th April
FORMAT: A series of short course races will be held over an approximately 1 NM course off Awaawaroa Bay.
Provided conditions allow 3 races will be held on the Saturday and 1 on the Sunday. The aggregate of your 3 best results from 4 races will be used to calculate an overall regatta champion, as well as toward the Club Championship Trophy.
DIVISIONS: Two trailer boat and one keel boat division.
BRIEFING: A race briefing will be held at 1100 hours by VHF radio in Awaawaroa Bay or alternatively on the beach if everyone is available.
START TIME: The first race will be scheduled for 1145 hours on Saturday and the interval between each race will be approximately 2 hours. There may be some variation to race times dependent on wind conditions
COURSES:
Race Course options (to be advised by RO prior to start sequence):
Course A – Windward Leeward finishing to leeward
Course B – Windward Leeward with a reaching finish to starboard following a windward leg
Course C - triangular with leeward finish

After-Match Gathering:
On the beach at Awaawaroa Bay. The club BBQ will be in attendance.
